Membership criteria

Any private or public institution or organisation meeting the following criteria may become an active member of the Association:

  • Management of a Masonic collection of objects, books, documents, and other material of substantial historical or cultural significance
  • Accessibility of the collection to the general public for public access and loan
  • Compliance with international standards as a museum, library or archive
  • Guaranteed stable funding
  • A known reference point for the history and culture of Freemasonry in its region

 

Membership Process

Membership applications are reviewed by an admissions committee and forwarded to the board. The board then submits its recommendation to the general meeting.

Admission is decided by a simple majority of the members present at the general meeting and takes effect immediately.
