The Regional Center for Masonic Studies Paris–Bucharest, founded in 2002, is a research and cultural institution dedicated to preserving and studying the history and traditions of Freemasonry. It brings together initiated and non-initiated scholars, aiming to build a National Masonic Archive and promote Masonic knowledge through publications and events.
A member of the international AMMLA since 2006, the Center fosters global connections between Masonic Obediences and Rites, working in the spirit of truth and the Great Architect of the Universe. It also operates as a research lodge in Bucharest, focused on ritualistic and academic study.
Its inauguration gathered prominent international Masonic leaders and cultural figures, highlighting its role as a bridge between traditions, cultures, and the universal values of Freemasonry.
Description of the Masonic Collection
The collection includes Masonic documents dating back to 1723, as well as objects belonging to Freemasonry from the pre-1945 period and the communist era. It also features items collected and acquired from descendants of Masonic families, including valuable donations.
The collection stands out through its unique exhibits of exceptional symbolic value, offering significant interest both to the Masonic community and to the wider public.
The Masonic collection is also presented through exhibitions in various cultural institutions across Romania, contributing to the promotion and understanding of Masonic heritage.
